April, 12, 2010 – The Ecobuild America conference and tradeshow, sponsored by National Institute of Building Sciences is increasing its offerings for construction professionals. Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) will co-locate its Green Building Symposium as part of Ecobuild on December 6-10, 2010 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
On December 7, ABC will be offering its Green Building Symposium, a day-long educational program focusing on new green building trends, sustainable corporate culture, green building codes and the role Building Information Modeling (BIM) plays with green building. “ABC is committed to playing an integral and important role in its members’ and the construction industry’s move toward greater sustainability,” said ABC President and CEO Kirk Pickerel. “We view ABC’s partnership with Ecobuild America as a key way to expand and strengthen our efforts.”
“Scores of associations are involved in Ecobuild and are given equal stage to share their input. Ecobuild is not intended to replace any existing association niche event or be duplicative of any other conference or tradeshow. Instead, it offers a unique opportunity for every discipline to be heard and develop collective solutions, standards and industry-wide policies,” explains George Borkovich, Ecobuild Principal. “Through our collaboration with ABC, our attendees can explore an even broader scope of green building and construction technology solutions.”
