Under the leadership of principals Richard C. Vendola, Jr., and George Borkovich, AEC Science & Technology, LLC (Centerville, MA), manages and produces Ecobuild® America conference and exhibit and the AEC-ST® Community. Together with their executive team, they have a depth of experience in technology and event planning for the AEC industry, including creating and managing the former A/E/C SYSTEMS International conference and exhibition. AEC-ST's Ecobuild event and online community are designed to educate design and construction professionals on improving our built environment and cover the unique intersection where ecology meets technology. Along with an illustrious Advisory Board, objective educational programs are developed to focus on timely topics and real world solutions.

George was the creator and co-founder of A/E/C SYSTEMS International, Inc., which produced the largest CAD, GIS, and EDM productivity events for design professionals in the world. Encompassing over a dozen major concurrent shows-within-a-show directed to all segments of the design/construction community, A/E/C SYSTEMS main event had grown to annually attract 25,000 attendees and exhibitors in more than 1,400 booths. A second fall event attracted 6,000 attendees to a 400 booth show. Additionally there were seven licensed events running internationally. Mr. Borkovich also co-published Computer Solutions magazine, subscribed to by some 30,000 design professionals. In 1997, the shows, licenses, and magazine were sold to Penton Media. Prior to starting his company, he served on the faculty at The Pennsylvania State University and later was employed by Coxe Associates, Inc., a leading management and marketing consulting firm to architects and engineers. He has lectured at the request of various professional societies, including the American Institute of Architects, the American Consulting Engineers Council, the Construction Specifications Institute, the Architectural Institute of Japan, and the National Academy of Science. He has also written extensively or been quoted on tech matters in the top AEC and trade show publications. Holding Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education, he also majored in architecture at The Pennsylvania State University and Drexel University.
Richard is President of Tradeshow Management Services Ltd., multi-faceted organization involved in developing, producing, and consulting for trade shows, magazines, directories, and conferences. Specializing in booth, advertising, and sponsorship sales; attendee marketing; contractor evaluation and selection; and on-site operations, events owned or managed by TMS varied in size from 20 booths and 200 attendees to 1500 booths and 30,000 attendees. In 1985, as a consultant for Practice Management Associates, he helped the Boston Society of Architects launch Build Boston, within which he still maintains an active role. Build Boston is the leading educational event for the building industry in the Northeast. From 1987 to 1990 he helped launch several regional building products events in Arizona, Atlanta, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco following the successful Build Boston model. All events were launched in cooperation with local AIA Chapters and local engineering associations. He was involved in the exhibitor management and operations for the A/E/C SYSTEMS shows from 1981 to 1987, and in 1991 became Vice President of Operations for A/E/C SYSTEMS, Inc. Along with A/E/C SYSTEMS, he created and launched Construction Technology in 1996 as a co-located building product conference and exhibit. The event was sold to Penton Media in 1998. Mr. Vendola holds a BA in Business and Economics from St. Anselm's College.
Mr. Kaneko is founder of Ecobuild and the former CEO of Delphi Inc., Tokyo, Japan, a publishing and event production company that specialized in services for design professionals. He has produced Japan's largest AEC computer shows and conferences, and is the creator of IPEC, for interior designers and Ecobuild, focusing on environmental design. He annually has drawn more than 30,000 professionals to his events, which were recently sold to another event producer. In 2004, Mr. Kaneko was selected as Japan's delegate to the World Green Building Council summit in India. Mr. Kaneko is an architect, member of the Architectural Institute of Japan and is founder and a fellow of the Japan Facility Management Association. He holds a BA from Meiji Gakuin University.
Mr. Hughes is a CPA and an attorney with over 25 years of experience in the fields of accounting, tax, and business consulting. He is partner-in-charge of tax services and litigation support for Larson, Allen, Weishair, & Co., LLP. He has served a variety of clients in all major industries including the fields of construction, real estate, and manufacturing in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Hughes specializes in the area of federal and state taxation, especially in the area of sophisticated income tax planning for business enterprises and their entrepreneurial owners. He also has extensive experience in the tax structuring of merger and acquisition transactions between business entities and handled the financial details for A/E/C SYSTEMS sale to Penton Media in 1997. He received his BS in accounting from LaSalle University and his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law.
Mr. Wojteczko founded his private practice law office in 1988 specializing in small business buy/sell advisement on trade shows, tax practice, real estate and condominium law, probate, and estate planning, as well as litigation regarding real estate and small business. He serves as an advisor to small corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and investors, and in 1997 handled the legal matters for the sale of A/E/C SYSTEMS assets to Penton Media. A veteran of the US Army where he served as an interrogator and interpreter in Vietnam, Mr. Wojteczko holds a BA from the College of St. Thomas and a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve Law School.
Kelly is the Principal of Casey Enterprises, a Meeting, Conference and Tradeshow Management company which works with a variety of clients from city-wide tradeshows to small, high-end specialty conferences. Kelly has been in the Tradeshow and Conference Management industry for over twenty years. After working as Congressional staff, she started her tradeshow career with Ralph Whitener and Company (currently VNU Expositions) in Washington, DC. In 1989, she founded Casey Enterprises and soon thereafter began working with A/E/C SYSTEMS International. In the eleven years she worked for A/E/C SYSTEMS, her responsibilities included handling contract and venue negotiations and selections, conference logistics, speaker coordination and overall management. She is recognized in the industry for her negotiating skills and has spoken before audiences of SISO and the Philadelphia Chapter of MPI on contract negotiations with Convention Centers and Hotels. She was honored to be nominated as Meeting Planner of the Year by the Philadelphia Chapter of MPI. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Area Chapter of MPI and the Chicago and Orlando Customer Advisory Councils. Ms. Marcavage holds a BA degree in Government and Law from Lafayette College.
Laura is President and founder of Infusion Marketing, a company providing a complete range of marketing solutions and specializing in trade show and event marketing. With over a decade of experience in marketing communications and business development, Laura has worked with a variety of clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield and Unilever. Prior to starting her company, Laura was Director of Marketing for all events at A/E/C SYSTEMS for over four years, including an award winning new launch. In this position, Laura was responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all advertising, promotion, and PR efforts, US and international, to draw attendees (over 25,000 for the main event) and to increase exhibit sales. She also initiated and developed strategic relationships with key industry associations and publications and worked closely with exhibitors on joint promotion efforts. Previously, Laura held Marketing positions at Rust Environment & Infrastructure, a division of Waste Management, Inc. and Asta Engineering, an A/E/C consulting firm where she wrote and created marketing communications materials and managed tradeshow participation and promotion. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Women's Referral Network of Montgomery County and is a former President. Laura holds an MBA and a BS in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University.
